I love the internet.  Even better, I love instant message applications.  Since my injury, and especially since my surgery, I have been kept company via instant message by a gentleman named Steven.  He lets me whine and keeps my spirits up.  He has no idea what a valuable support he has been to me.  Even when I am too tired to chat I like his many daily messages checking on me.

I have never met this person and know very little about him.  We have had brief occassional instant message chats for a couple of months now.  We are essentially strangers.  I would like to think we are friends now. One day I hope to have him over for BBQ and thank him for his friendship during this time.
