My R6 with 76,000 miles on it blew up today on my way to work. I pushed her almost 2 miles to my office and then sat in the parking lot and cried.
Motor did not sieze. No burning or other smells. No noticeable power loss but I let out of the throttle as soon as I heard the clackity, clackity, clackity start. Pulled over shut her down and coasted as far as I could.
It sounded very top end, valve or cam chain sound I think.
Some people give birth. I have my bike. I know I am unusally emotionally attached to it but that's just how it is.
All I know is that sound was bad and sounds very much like $1000 to $2000 bucks.
